Heavier smoke impacts over Central Idaho

Today’s AQI is forecasted to be in the Good to Unhealthy range with the highest concentrations near the fires in Central Idaho. Fires in surrounding states and British Columbia are producing smoke and haze that is affecting north Idaho while local fires in Idaho and Lemhi County are producing more significant smoke impacts over central Idaho. Eastern Idaho is experiencing some smoke impacts from fires in southern California. Expect smoke and haze from the central Idaho fires to stay more localized as winds shift this evening.
