The Bear Creek Fire continues to burn in timber but there hasn't been much growth since yesterday. The Forest Service reports that smoke is visible over a large area including the Lemhi Valley and the area surrounding Salmon. Meteorology suggests that Salmon could see early morning impacts in the next couple days.
Today and tomorrow could also see some haze beginning in the Lemhi and Birch Valleys. Beginning tomorrow, the Upper Snake River Plain could also start seeing haze. It's hard to predict very far out but there is some potential for the Middle Snake River Plain and Lower Snake River Plain to see haze by Monday.
In fact, there are enough fires burning in and around the state that most areas are likely to experience some occasional haze.
Have a great weekend everyone!
