Widespread smoke and haze across the state

Air quality today is forecast to be in the Good to Moderate range.

Widespread smoke and haze over much of the state continues today. Smoke that has settled over Lake Cascade will slowly lift. The impacts from Four Corners will be primarily in the Cascade area.  Across the central part of the state and the Snake River Plain, smoke from regional wildfires will settle into drainages overnight. Smoke impacts are expected to increase tomorrow morning across much of the state.

BlueSky 4km WRF initialized at 6pm MDT (08/31) shows smoke settling into drainages tonight.
