The 24hr AQI data was good across the state yesterday and is forecast to remain in the good cateogry today.
Northwest winds aloft are not expected to bring smoke into the state today and the conditions support continued clearing and scouring of smoke from the atmosphere.
There could be some local smoke impacts tonight around the Central Idaho Mountains as winds turn northerly and track smoke south into the Snake River Plain. These impacts are not expected to be widespread or long-lasting and will dissipate with the breaking of the morning inversion. Tomorrow afternoon and evening brings a possible smoke intrusion from the west into the Treasure Valley, but at this time, impacts look to be light.
1km True Color GOES-16 satellite imagery indicates clear conditions over Idaho this morning with low level clouds tracking across northern Idaho.
