Air quality was good to moderate yesterday across the state and is forecast to be in the same range today. The smoke from California that moved into southern Idaho yesterday mostly remained aloft and little air quality degradation was noted at the surface. Waves of light to moderate smoke from California and Oregon look to continue moving into the state today. Again, how much of this smoke remains aloft and how much mixes down to the surface is an open question but at least widespread haze should be expected. Higher smoke impacts will be likely in the vicinity of local fires.
