Once again, 24hr AQI data indicated good air quality levels across the state and they are forecast to stay there today. Surface winds will be from the southwest to northwest today.
Smoke impacts are possible this afternoon from fires burning Washington and Oregon. These impacts are not expected to be widespread or long-lasting. The locations most likely to see smoke today will be across the Palouse, Camas, and Weippe Prairies, with light haze as far south as McCall. Additionally, the Treasure Valley and east should expect to see smoke, reaching as far as Pocatello last this evening. Smoke impacts are not expected to be long-lasting today due to moderately high wind speeds.
