Smoky weekend on the horizon

While much of Idahofrom the Lewiston area southis impacted by light to moderate smoke, some of that smoke will clear out today, particularly in the larger and more open valleys. Central Idaho, will continue to see impacts from local fires. By Saturday morning, we will see smoke from Oregon and California move in. This should continue through the weekend with south Idaho seeing light to moderate impacts from regional smoke and central and north Idaho seeing impacts from local fires.

Vertically integrated smoke through 11pm Friday. Smoke can be seen clearing from much of south Idaho throughout the day with thick plumes from fires in central Idaho blowing to the southeast.
