Clearing on the horizon

Air quality forecasts for today are in the Good to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups Category. 

Smoke concerns remain across southern Idaho with increasing concentrations across central Idaho.  North Idaho looks to clear beginning around 4pm this afternoon while south Idaho should expect to see elevated readings across the landscape until tomorrow morning when clearing begins from west to east. The clearing looks to reach Pocatello between 10-11am. Smoke will continue to clear after that time.


Video: HRRR Smoke Near Surface Smoke Initialized at 12Z (06am MDT) and valid 5pm MDT shows clearing in the north with light haze while increased concentrations remain over south Idaho.
