The weather is forecast to change and as a result many of us
will see some improvement in our air quality conditions but relief is not likely
to arrive until late in the weekend. However, if you are nearby one of the fires
or in a more sheltered area where winds take longer to reach you, your clearing
may be delayed in arriving or not show up at all! Some of us may simply get a
different flavor of smoke as the old smoke just gets replaced with new smoke
from a different direction. If you do get a break from the smoke enjoy it while
you can. A typical summer weather pattern is sure to return and smoke will
likely be in the forecast for many of us again before the season is over.
This site is an effort by county, state, tribal, and federal agencies to coordinate and aggregate information for Idaho communities affected by wildfire smoke. The information is posted here by the agencies themselves.
