Less Smoke from California, Some from Washington and Oregon

Today won’t be a whole lot different than yesterday. It will be hot with light winds. Those light winds will be coming from the West-Northwest and any smoke they bring will be primarily from Washington, southern BC, and Oregon. This will also limit any smoke from the southwest Oregon and California fires from coming our way. General smoke impacts will likely be greatest over the Idaho/Washington border from Lewiston north to the Canadian border and east to the Dworshak reservoir. Once again, there will be periods of haze throughout the day, particularly over southern Idaho, the Central Idaho Mountains, and the Panhandle. If we see any relief from the smoke during the day, expect it to be short lived - it will settle again at night draining into the Treasure Valley, Upper and Middle Snake River Plain, and Clearwater into the LC Valley with local drainages within the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene corridor. Try to stay cool Idaho!

This image is indicating higher concentrations at the surface over the LC Valley and Panhandle with widespread light smoke across Idaho.
