Some smoke over North Idaho

Today’s AQI is forecast to be GOOD over much of the state while the area near the Ridge Creek fire could see UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS. Smoke from the Ridge Creek fire is impacting North Idaho today and tonight and will begin drifting south overnight. Smoke and haze from fires in western Canada is drifting south and will move over North Idaho tomorrow morning.

Video: The HRRR-NCEP-Smoke Near Surface Smoke model initialized at 7:00 a.m. MDT August 14, 2023 shows smoke and haze over North Idaho from the Ridge Creek fire.
