Hazy skies

Air quality forecasts are in the Good to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups categories. 

Today will bring dry northwest winds to Idaho. Smoke concerns today will be located in the vicinity of fires as well as from haze aloft.  Smoke continues to stall along the Idaho border with Nevada as the northwest winds prevail.  Smoke from southern Canada looks to impact the Panhandle late tonight and into tomorrow. Continued smoke impacts over central Idaho are expected to track to the south tonight and begin to affect the Weiser and Lower Payette Valley and into the Lower Treasure Valley by tomorrow morning.

Video: HRRR-Smoke Near Surface Smoke model initialized at 12z (6am MDT) and valid at 8am MDT 08/11/2021 shows smoke from central Idaho tracking to the south into Southwest Idaho.
