Smoke impacts today will
remain over south central Idaho mostly due to local and regional fires. Transport
winds will be light, likely causing smoke to settle again at night. Once again,
there will be periods of haze throughout the day, particularly over southern
Idaho, the Central Idaho Mountains, and the Panhandle. As night falls, expect
smoke to drain in the Treasure Valley, the Middle Snake River Plain, and
Clearwater into the LC Valley. Winds from the West-Northwest will be light but
any smoke they bring into Idaho will be primarily from Washington, southern BC,
and Oregon.
This model is suggesting
localized smoke impacts in the Central Idaho Mountains, the Clearwater
Drainages and into the Palouse with locally scattered impacts within the
Spokane-Coeur d’Alene corridor.
