Alright, the bad news is we
shouldn’t expect much, if any, relief from smoky conditions much of today for
most of Idaho. The good news is there may be some pockets of improvement
locally. Central Idaho – I told you not to pack a picnic and I hope you
listened because your air quality will likely degrade today as smoke from the
Cascades and British Columbia works its way into your area. Up north in the
Panhandle, you’ll be getting some more winds for the next couple of days that
will eventually start to clear out some of your smoke and haze but not before
more smoke is brought in from the west. You win some, you lose some. Down
south, the SW corner of the state will see increasing winds through most of
Friday, just like the Panhandle. And also just like the Panhandle, the weather
will bring more some smoke from the west before westerly winds will likely blow
some of it out and give you some relief on Friday.

quality conditions from monitors operated by state and tribal air quality
programs.
